چکیده
با روی کار آمدن داریوش بزرگ و توسعه بیشتر شاهنشاهی که نیازمند تجدید نظر در ساختار اداریش بود، داریوش تصمیم گرفت علاوه بر اصلاحاتی که در نظام مالیاتی و اقتصادی کشور ، سیستم ساتراپی کشور را که در عهد کورش بزرگ و کمبوجیه دوم شکل گرفته بود، دوباره سازماندهی کند. بنابراین در پایان پادشاهی او تعداد ساتراپ ها از 23 ساتراپی به 31 ساتراپی افزایش یافت.
وضعیت دستگاه اداری هخامنشیان و اصلاحات داریوش از دیر باز مورد مطالعۀ پژوهشگران تاریخ ایران باستان بوده، اما در مورد نقش و جایگاه ساتراپ ها در شاهنشاهی هخامنشی، کمتر سخن گفته شده است. در این مقاله چگونگی شکل گیری نهاد ساتراپی، نقش و جایگاه ساتراپ ها در دوره هخامنشی، ویژگی ها و انواع ساتراپی ها در سازمان اداری شاهنشاهی هخامنشی،با رویکرد مطالعه ی تحلیلی- توصیفی و با تکیه بر منابع به جای مانده از این دوره و با استفاده از شیوه پژوهش های تاریخی، بررسی شود.

With the coming to power of Darius the Great and the further development of the empire that needed to revise its administrative structure, Darius decided, in addition to reforming the country's tax and economic system, to re-establish the satrapy system formed during the reign of Cyrus the Great and Cambyses II. Organize. Thus, at the end of his reign, the number of satraps increased from 23 to 31.
The status of the Achaemenid bureaucracy and Darius' reforms have long been studied by scholars of ancient Iranian history, but little has been said about the role and position of satraps in the Achaemenid Empire. In this article, how the satrapy institution was formed, the role and position of satraps in the Achaemenid period, features and types of satraps in the Achaemenid imperial administrative organization, with an analytical-descriptive study approach and relying on the resources left from this period and with Examine the use of historical research methods.
