Abstract
One of the main elements of formation and continuity of political systems in historical periods in Iran is existence of an active army which plays an important role in eliminating those opposing groups who intend to have power, captivation territorial integrity and power, oppressing civil riots as well as fighting against foreigners . The efficiencies and success of such forces were related with the organization and quantity of the forces, quality of their weapons and management. policies of King and high-ranking officers were key factors of success. Moderate military power and efficient administration helped fortifying political system and consistency of government. The reveres would lead to the failure of the government. Based on such considerations, the present article intending to render a picture of the military in the era of Shah Safi (the eleventh century A.D.), descript the military positions of the era by a referring to the names of high-ranking officers. their lives and services are also reviewed. This historical research, referring to the original sources, follows a descriptive- analytical method.
