Abstract

Political – military structure and function of cities had a prominent role in political – military conflicts and competitions before and after decease of Nader Shah Afshar; with regard to this issue, this article attempts to answer to this question: how was the operation of the structure of power of cities and in what areas leads to the power and empire of Karim Khan Zand? This research by using the methods of historical research and techniques of library data collection from original historical references after description and classification of structural and functional specifications of related cities in that specific times deals to analyses and interpretations of these features and their impacts on the power of Karim Khan Zand. Some of the factors which could be studies in this regard are : the cities’ power structure, cities’ important people, the different social bases of important people, competitions and different plots based on individual and plural interests and finally the common interests of ordinary and important people lead to the protection of Karim Khan Zand and rejection of Predatory rulers. These above mentioned factors have terminated to formation of power and rule of Karim Khan Zand.
