Abstract

Lavāssānāt is one of the triple parts of Ghasrān or Kūhsarān in north of Rey. It has been a suitable shelter for the people of the region in the battles, because of the cold weather and mountainous rough which is difficult to pass. This area was a resort for offspring and descendants of Shiit Emams and Alavids who were opposed to Umavid and Abbasid Caliphs. Construction of the tombs for these great people, caused the concentration of offspring of Emams in the area. There are more than thirty tombs belonging to descendants of Emams in north of Rey which half of them are located at Lavāssānāt. The eleven of offspring of Shiit Emams attributed in this research. Research data are gathered by documentary and field studies. Of the most important results of this research are existence of paradoxes in genealogies, wrong reading of the words and names of offspring burial places, the difficulties of genealogy fir sake of presence of similar names, and basic distortions of the sources because of existence of Iranian names.
