One of the developments in the Mogul era and in political geography was gathering the Middle East, Kipchak Plain, Iran, Caucasus and Anatolia under the Mogul rule. The immediate consequence of such transformation was expanding the trade and commerce among different Asian nations. Over the next several decades, they reached the lands of western Asia and Europe. In this situation, the most active areas in the development of trade relations between Asia and Europe were the Italian republics of Venice and Genoa. Study of the commercial relations of these cities with commercial centers in Iran and Ilkhanids is the central theme of this paper. Geographical location of Iran in the middle of East - West relations and the Ilkhanids policies in supporting the business and attracting the leading European merchants resulted in the attraction of Italian businessmen to Iran. In the other hand, there are some reasons such as developing the silk workshops in Italy and the immediate need to Asian raw silk along with other products such as spices and other raw materials which were the most powerful incentives for consideration of businessmen of Republics of Venice and Genoa on business in Iran. So that from one hand they imported linen, cotton and wool, wood, metal, gold and silver from Europe to Asia and on the other hand they transferred some products and commodities such as raw silk of Iran and China, Indian spices, saffron, alum and cotton and slaves of Kipchak plains from Asia to Europe.
